Your first free consultation will be with the principal of the firm Tony Separovic.

At the first consultation Tony Separovic will advise you regarding the following:

• Estimated value of claim.


• Likely duration of claim.


• Estimated legal costs.

Your claim will be conducted by Tony Separovic and under his supervision other members of the Separovic and Associates legal team will assist in your claim being processed.

We will on your behalf commission and obtain all necessary medical reports and other evidence in order to process and successfully finalise your claim.

We will investigate the accident circumstances in order to determine fault.

If it is necessary for matters to be dealt with at the WorkCover Directorate Separovic and Associates will attend to all necessary documentation and will appear on your behalf before the Directorate.

Once your injuries have medically stabilised and final medical specialist reports have been issued the claim will be ready for settlement negotiations to take place.

The vast majority of claims are finalised by way of a negotiated settlement which takes place at settlement conferences.

There are different types of settlement conferences including “informal conferences” which take place outside of the confines of the Court.

Many claims are settled at District Court pre-trial conferences.

Prior to the conference Mr Separovic will advise in particular as to an appropriate starting position for settlement negotiation purposes and a finishing/reasonable settlement figure.

All negotiations at settlement conferences will be conducted on your behalf by Mr Separovic (and in some cases barristers are also briefed to attend conferences).

The vast majority of claims are settled by negotiation at settlement conferences and very few cases need to proceed to a District Court trial to be assessed by a Judge.

In the event your case has to be assessed at trial before a Judge Separovic and Associates will be committed to delivering a successful outcome at trial and this practice has an excellent track record with regard to matters proceeding to a hearing or trial.

While the claim is running you will not be required to pay for any legal costs.

Separovic and Associates will on your behalf attend to payment of all medical report fees and other disbursements (unlike the majority of other Perth law firms).

Because Separovic and Associates will pay for all medical report fees and other disbursements on your behalf you will not be required to pay any fees while the claim is running.

In the vast majority of motor vehicle accident; work accident and public liability claims the insurance company makes a reasonable contribution towards payment of your legal costs.

Any fees payable by the client are deducted from settlement proceeds.
